ABOUT MY PAINTING
Starting with a love of art and the outdoors, I would create plein air studies while hiking in Alaska.
Using these small outdoor studies as well as my photography as guides, I would work in the studio creating larger works.
Current subject matter now ranges from landscape to animals to other objects I find of interest. I like a style that pushes the human quality and immediacy of mark as well as increased viewer interpretation.
Recently, I’ve moved back to Washington State. I plan to continue to paint, but probably will have taller trees now.
